Frustrated that Congressman Mike Bishop (R-MI8) keeps dodging them, his constituents are taking their complaints to the opinion pages of local papers.
In a letter to the editor in the Livingston Daily Press and Argus, a writer takes aim at Bishop’s zeal to roll back regulations that protect citizens.
So, here’s the deal. If you want to continue to put the health and well being of your constituents at risk by rolling back the regulations that protect our air, land and water, the least you can do is come back home and explain your reasons. Rep. Mike Bishop, we need a town hall meeting. We’re long overdue for a talk.
And in the Lansing State Journal, another writer urges more constituents to tell Bishop to do his job.
Please write to Mike Bishop and remind him that he is in Congress to represent the people, not the party. His duty is to look out for us and, so far, he’s failing.
Not a bad idea. If you’re looking for some tips on how to write letters to the editor, look here.
